Orange Park Toyota drivers are seeing green
Article by Darren Northam
The green revolution is upon us, and theres no turning back now. As soon as the recession cut out, all of the major automakers made a huge vie for green driving. Technology is progressing at a quick rate these days, so the research necessary to accomplish the goal of zero emissions has become less costly. Orange Park Toyota drivers have already enjoyed many of the benefits that come with owning a hybrid vehicle. Yes, the Prius made the first stab at spectacular fuel efficiency, and it continues to be the market leader in greenness, reliability and general drivability. Whether the Prius continues to lead the industry in green driving is currently up in the air with the launch of a new fleet of electric vehicles occurring this year. However, new research by MIT physicists shows that the Prius trumps electric cars in many ways, but the ones that count the most are emissions and cost to the owner. According to the research, Chevys Volt may not be able to compare to the award-winning Prius. Part of the rationale is the use of coal to power electric mills everywhere. Florida used cars should enjoy plenty more sales of Prius units.
For Orange Park Toyota drivers, the research results are both heartening and disheartening. It would have been nice if we could find a new standard in driving that helps cut down on emissions, but it looks like the Chevy Volt isnt it. According to a recent article in Tainted Green, Determining emissions from conventional hybrid is straightforward. Researchers for the MIT Energy Initiative found that carbon dioxide emissions from hybrids are 33% lower compared to gasoline engines. Figuring out emissions from EVs, however, is more complicated, since it depends on how electricity is generated. If a plug-in hybrid electric car, like the Chevy Volt, is charged by carbon-free power, it would have 66% less CO2 emissions compared to gasoline engines. But if the recharge relies on coal-fired power, the emissions from plug?in hybrids are higher than the convention hybrids. And in spite of gains in renewable power, coal-fired power plants still accounted for 45% (and natural gas plants for 24%) of 2010 electricity generation. Using EVs will not significantly decrease CO2 emissions until nuclear and renewable electric generation replaces fossil-fueled power plants. Owners of Florida used cars are glad to hear that their vehicles are still extremely relevant.
In the end, no one knows exactly what will come of the EV revolution this year. I know that Orange Park Toyota dealers will still have great Prius sales until Chevy and Nissan can prove that they have launched the new standard in driving. Florida used cars will continue to be relevant until that day, when the entire driving paradigm will shift into the future and help push more progress in the driving industry. It wont matter; in the next 20 years, well all be driving around in automatic cars on tracks anyway. Then we definitely will not have to worry about these things.

From the conference room to the classroom, green cleaning is enhancing productivity
Article by Keby Boyer
The revolution is alive and well! Terms like green cleaning, organic, and biodegradable are no longer reserved for treehugger types – they’re now an accepted part of our vernacular. We now live in a world where meat labels make sure you’re aware that no hormones or antibiotics were used to feed your future dinner and green cleaning products stress the fact that they don’t contain harmful chemicals and contaminants that can be detrimental to your health. As a society, we’re more aware than ever that every product we use and consume has a significant impact on our health and subsequently our productivity.
So it comes as no surprise that commercial cleaning companies are embracing the green revolution. But it’s not because they’re bandwagoners. No, they’re simply satisfying clients who are demanding healthier employees, hospitals that are demanding more sterile environments, and parents/teachers who are demanding a healthier classroom for students and teachers.
The evidence clearly supports the value in not just using a commercial cleaning company, but in using a commercial cleaning company that embraces green cleaning. Prospective patients are now using infection rates as the main reason to choose a hospital – edging proximity and even hospital reputation. Offices across the world have germs covering a wide array of surfaces that are causing employees to take an average of seven sick days per year. These progressive techniques are helping reduce those stubborn germs that kids always seem to attract, resulting in students missing less school days each year as well. This prevents both students and teachers from getting behind and helps both stay more productive. So add increased productivity to the list of reasons to use commercial cleaning companies that embrace contemporary cleaning practices. Your people deserve it.

Green Floor Refinishing

Many families today have become more environmentally conscious with respect to the products that they are buying. Many are now well aware of the damage that some synthetic products can cause to their immediate environment and to the global environment as a whole. This is especially true in families with young children who are very susceptible to pollutants and harmful chemicals. Because of this, many companies and manufacturers have become keen in developing new products with less environmental impact, translating into a

Green Tips for Creating your Promotional Tools
Many businesses are now supporting the green revolution by selling eco-friendly products, following green business practices and partnering up with environmental organizations. Going green does not only help protect the environment, because this also allows your business to project a good image to your market. You can go all out in supporting the green revolution by creating promotional materials in the most eco-friendly ways possible. Eco-friendly print materials complement your eco-friendly business and strengthen your effort in supporting green living.
* Maximize the use of your promotional tools. Use your promotional tools for dual purposes. For instance, you can announce a sale using postcards and use the back of the cards as a discount coupon. Instead of printing discount coupons on a separate paper, why not use the back of your cards as your discount coupons? This lessens the amount of paper to be used for printing which is very beneficial to the environment. Doing so also helps you to cut back on your marketing expenses.
* Proofread the content. Imagine the amount of paper that you will waste if you print your promotional tools twice because of typographical errors. Think about it. The rejected brochures that you ordered will go straight to the trash can, because you didn’t proofread. This delays the distribution of your print materials and costs you a lot of money too. Always make sure to proofread your print materials before having them printed online to save you from inconvenience.
* Choose eco-friendly printing. A green printing company like UPrinting can be your reliable partner in producing eco-friendly promotional tools. Your business will benefit a lot if you work hand in hand with an online printer that shares the same value like yours. The printing service of an eco-friendly printer has a low impact on the environment, making them the ideal company to produce your print materials.

Most Green Countries
Article by Neal Hamou
The buzz word “green” has become increasingly popular in the last few years, and people all over the world are beginning to realize the importance of replacing the dependence on coal and oil with the independence of renewable energies. While some folks are still skeptical about global warming, science and obvious changes in the environment are making most countries take the threat very seriously.
One country that seems to be leading the way in the renewable energy revolution is the small island of Iceland. They have fully embraced geothermal energy and hydropower, and 82% of their primary energy consumption comes from renewable sources. The country has managed within one generation to ween itself from dependence on coal and oil to a system almost completely based on sustainable resources.
Another country leading the way to a greener planet is Sweden. Approximately 25% of Sweden’s energy consumption comes from biogas. Biogas is power that is created from sewage. In the Swedish city of Linkoping, all of the garbage trucks and buses run on biogas, and there’s even a biogas-powered train line! The government in Sweden has even converted confiscated alcohol into biofuel for green applications.
In 1973, the country of Denmark became independent of fossil fuel imports. Since that time, the country has continued to embrace green technologies, and now boasts the world’s first profitable offshore wind park. Over 20% of Denmark’s power consumption is derived from wind power, and that’s after exporting 90% of their wind production outside of the country. Denmark is also using solar power to run heating plants as well as other applications, and they are also working on using rapeseed oil as a new type of biofuel.
Costa Rica is one of many countries that is working to become the world’s first carbon-neutral country. They incorporate several green energies including geothermal, solar, wind and the burning of sugarcane waste. Their biggest source of clean energy is hydroelectricity, and more than 82% of Costa Rica’s energy is provided by its hydroelectric dams. A quarter of the nation of Costa Rica is also devoted to park preservation.
In the United States, the green revolution has faced opposition most notably from the giant oil companies. Americans are just now beginning to realize the very real threat that global warming poses, and many are now willing to look at alternative energy sources. In recent years, the U.S. has become the world’s fastest growing wind power market, and several major turbine manufacturing plants have either been opened or announced their intentions. Recently, the government has instituted tax credits, rebates and other programs to encourage Americans to purchase energy saving appliances, vehicles, etc. New homes and businesses are being built with environmentally friendly products and energy sources, and owners are receiving significant tax breaks for using green technologies.
There are many other countries implementing green technologies with the hope of saving the planet and making the world a better place – let’s hope they succeed.

Going Green At Home
Article by Steven Simoneschi
Global warming and climate change have become popular sources of debate throughout the American, and in fact world community. Some of us aren’t convinced it’s happening, others are, and some just don’t care. In any case, it is important to understand how the green revolution is affecting the new purchase of homes. Even more so, it is vital to understand that the government is beginning to implement programs designed at providing us incentive to go green. No more is this more apparent than in the purchase of new homes. Green homes can provide a new homeowner invaluable benefits. For starters, new technology has shown us ways to construct homes that are actually cheaper to heat and cool. This is based off of the initial design of the building. By constructing a house a certain way, and using particular designs, we can now use this technology to lower the costs of both heating and cooling a home. Additionally, another prime aspect of this is the way in which the walls of a home are insulated. Strong insulation can exponentially lower heating costs and cooling costs, and are also safer for your family. But this green revolution affects homes in other ways as well. The government is currently providing important rebates and incentives that homeowners can cash in on by making their home cleaner and more environmentally friendly. These range from appliances to many other types of things that are common in a home. Thus, when you are looking to purchase a new home, you should seek out environmentally friendly homes. These will continue to save homeowners money as being green becomes more and more important as legislation changes and we head into the future. Going green, as you can see, can help not just you, but the environment as well. There are innumerable ways to raise the value of your home, lower its costs, all while helping the environment in the long run. Consult with your real estate company to see what green homes are available for purchase in your area.

The Benefits of Solar Panels for your Salt Lake City Green Building
Article by Home Show daily
People have been rebuilding and remodeling their homes for the past few years without any regard for the efficiency of their homes. Before, when homeowners rebuilt their homes, it was all about aesthetics. However, with the advent of green revolution, more and more people are considering green ideas for their homes.
Turning towards green revolution was a wake up call to most Americans after the global recession hit the country a year ago. Moreover, the global recession also affected the supply of oil from the Middle East which is one of the main sources of energy that fuels most American homes.
For most people who lived in Ogden City and Provo City in Utah, they are lucky enough to tap to several resources that will help them to become less dependent on the conventional sources of energy. Luckily, these places uplift the creation of Salt Lake City Green Buildings or homes.
There are a lot of Salt Lake City Green Building ideas that you can use. One of the highlights of Salt Lake City Green Buildings is the installation of solar panels to home owners’ homes. This alternative source of energy uses solar cells that collect radiation or energy from the sun and converts it into electricity. A single solar cell is equivalent to one AA battery. This means that if you are serious about using solar cells to power the majority of your home appliances, you will need to install a lot of these solar cells.Although the installation of solar cells can be expensive, there are a lot of benefits that you can gain from it.
For instance, instead of using electricity to power the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System of your home with electricity, you can use the energy generated from solar radiation to power this system. By doing so, you will save a lot on electricity bills in the future.
Energy from solar cells is also low impact to the environment. This means that you do not need to drill holes in the deep recesses of the Earth’s crust just to get them out just like petroleum and oil products. In fact, the energy is everywhere. It is a passive form of energy that you can harvest anytime during the day. Moreover, it does not produce other by-products when used unlike fuel that produces tar and smoke.
Not only do you save more on this Salt Lake City Green Building idea, you also give something back to the environment. You actually let the environment rest from being bombarded with a lot of pollutants from using conventional sources of fuel.

DIY Green Energy Guides – Choosing the Right Solar Panel or Wind Turbine Website
Article by Mike Arnaki
“Going Green” is on just about everyone’s mind now days. Many of us have jumped on board and are doing everything we can to help the revolution. Many have started the boarding process and are doing a little at a time and others are just starting out. No matter which step you are at, the key to success is doing your research. As most of us have heard before “knowledge is power.” And in the case of “going green” we are literally talking about power, or at least the amount of it we use and where we get it from.
The internet is absolutely bombarded with companies and advertisements concerning the green revolution. Many of these companies are very legitimate and are truly taking steps to help mother earth, while others are simply trying to capitalize on the movement. You can literally find hundreds or thousands of “green” products out there for sale, everything from rain collection barrels to solar lighting for your walkway. In this article we are going to discuss do-it-yourself solar panels and wind turbines. Due to a few advances in the industry over the past few years it has become very inexpensive to actually build your own systems and literally power your complete home from these systems, in effect never having to pay the power companies again. Because of these advances and the ability to build inexpensive systems there has been a boom of internet websites promoting the practice.
These “Green Energy” websites are capitalizing on the green diy movement by offering books or guides that teach individuals how to build these power systems themselves. Most advertise that you can build your own solar panel or wind turbine for under $ 200. If you perform a Google search for “diy solar panels” or even just “solar panels” alone, you will find hundreds of sites offering these guides. So many in fact that it becomes overwhelming to weed through them. We are about to give you some pointers as to how to choose the right ones.We literally scanned and read through dozens of these green energy websites. What we found was that most of them are offering the same information just packaged in different brightly colored packages. All of the websites sell what is known as an eBook. This is an electronic book that you download from their website, usually in.pdf format.
There are a few things you should look at when evaluating which of these sites to trust and possibly purchase your guide from.- First and probably most important is to look at their Money Back offer. Do they offer a truly risk-free guarantee? Make sure you read the fine print to ensure there isn’t a catch.
- Second, do you get other items as well as your diy guide? Most offer tax savings info, parts guides and other bonus information.
- Next, do you get to download the information directly after you make your purchase, or do you have to wait for someone to respond to you?
- Try out their customer service. Send them an email to ask a question and see how long it takes to get a reply.
- Does the site look like a copy of all the other sites you’ve seen, or does it look original?
- Do their videos appear professionally made, clear and can you hear the audio well? These are just a few of the items you can use to verify the validity of the sites you are looking at. One review site that exist out there is MySolarReview.com which has taken most of the guess work out of the equation for you by providing reviews of 6 of the top DIY Green Energy sites.
Simply make sure you do a little research before you decide which DIY site to purchase your guide from. Make sure the one you choose will provide you with as much info as possible for your money. There are several review sites out there to help with your decision.

Top 10 Green Gadgets
Article by Libra Ray
Times have indeed changed. Never before have people talked about technology revolution and green revolution in the same breath, but it is very common to do so today.
Nowadays, being green is not just about preserving rainforests but also about making environment conscious adjustments in our choices of tech gadgets. We want ones that use renewable energy, recyclable and non-toxic materials – like these top 10 green gadgets:
1. Solar-powered backpack.
this solar-powered backpack from Voltaic does not only carry your gadgets but charges them as well. The bag has a solar panel attached and readily stores energy from the sun, transferring the same clean energy to your gadgets in the backpack, replacing the fossil fuel power you would normally need if you charged from the grid.
2. Water-powered clock. This clock from Bedol runs without batteries. It is powered instead by salt water, which corrodes the tiny clock mechanisms inside. That corrosion process provides the energy to make the clock work. (Isn’t chemistry amazing?) The best part: they don’t look geeky at all, as they come in a variety of colours.
3. 12-volt wind generator. This small windmill-type device uses a tiny turbine to charge most low-voltage electronic devices, including 12-volt batteries.
4. Earphones with wooden ear plugs. Get green by using gadgets that are completely non-toxic and absolutely biodegradable. Every music addict will love these earphones with wooden ear plugs. The wood component makes a very good sound resonator.
Yes, trees will be cut to make these earphones – unless they are made from recycled wood – but did you know it’s actually good to cut old trees if you replace them with saplings, because young trees absorb far more carbon dioxide than old, dying trees?
You will be happy to know these earphones are compatible with iPod devices.
5. Nokia 3110 Evolve. Cell phone users who agonise over the carbon footprint of most mobile phones can now rejoice with the Nokia 3110 Evolve, which is made of biodegradable materials.
6. Logitech solar-rechargeable keyboard. Even at the office, there is no excuse not to do your part in saving Mother Earth. The Logitech wireless keyboard we all know now comes in a solar-powered model, so say good-bye to batteries. Even indoor lighting can charge this gadget.
7. Kill-A-Watt wireless monitor carbon footprint metre. A must-have for every office, the Kill-A-Watt wireless monitor carbon footprint metre calculates the power usage of your green office daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure you stay on the green path.
8. Wild Grass solar garden lights. A number of green gadgets can be used in our very own homes, where we can make the greatest environmental impact. Starting with your garden, the Wild Grass solar garden lights stay illuminated for up to six hours from just eight hours of solar exposure. The LED bulbs are automatically activated as twilight falls, giving a glow to your garden without extra power.
9. Rainwater storage tanks. These can be strategically placed along the fence while holding up to 50 gallons of water per container, for everyday household use. The reservoirs are made from food grade and recyclable polyethylene.
10. Energy-efficient boilers. Energy efficiency is a buzzword in the green world. When it comes to home and water heating needs, energy efficient boilers such as British Gas boilers will help keep your home’s carbon footprint as low as possible without leaving you out in the cold.
